Hey guys! Today, we will be making a Gluten-free Whipped Cream-Cheese Frosting Recipe using cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. I can't wait for you to try this! 😊

Last week, I told you that I would soon give you my buttercream frosting recipe. Today, we are going to make a frosting recipe, but not a buttercream one. Someday I will give you the buttercream recipe, but today, I can't wait to show you this delicious Gluten-Free Whipped Cream-Cheese frosting recipe my mom and I created!

ree

Since a lot of people are visual learners, today I will be showing you the steps with pictures too! This frosting recipe is made with simple, household ingredients. I hope this Gluten-free Whipped Cream-Cheese frosting will taste as delectable, creamy, and delicious to you as it does to me! I made up this frosting recipe for an angel food cake, but trust me, you can use it on any cake you want! Remember, I am showing you pictures and tips for the major steps, but the full recipe will still be down below at the very bottom of the page.

Real quick, before you see the recipe, I had a blast making this in a collaboration with jeweledinteriors.com! I made the frosting, and she modeled it on her new Lazy Susan. If you want to see more pictures of the kitchen, go check out her site!

Step 1: Gather Ingredients and supplies

ree

In this recipe, you will need 1 pint (16 FL OZ) of heavy whipping cream, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 package of cream cheese, and 2 cups+ 3 additional tablespoons of powdered sugar.

Step 2: Make some frosting!

ree

Now, whip together (with a hand mixer or stand mixer) the softened cream cheese and 2 cups of the powdered sugar. (We will use the other three tablespoons later on in the recipe when we're making our whipped cream.) Whip until creamy, and then stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Step 3: Make your whipped cream

ree

With the pint of cold heavy whipping cream, whip until frothy on high and then add in the three tablespoons of powdered sugar. Whip until stiff and fluffy, the consistency of cool whip.

Step 4: Fold them together!

ree

Now that we have our whipped cream mixture and our cream cheese frosting, gently fold or stir together with a spoon, not with a mixer. Fold together until completely blended, and indistinguishable.

Step 5: Frost!

This step is optional, but I'm guessing that if you take the time to make frosting, that you're going to want to put it on a cake. I used a GF Angel Food cake mix, but feel free to dress up a vanilla or chocolate cake (or any type, really) with this scrumptious frosting!

Here are some pictures of the decorated cake!
